Changelog
What's new in each version of Ailimu, newest first.
To update to the latest version, run this in the folder that holds your
docker-compose.yml:
docker compose pull && docker compose up -d
Most versions need nothing more. When one does, its entry has an Upgrading section saying exactly what to do.
0.4.2
28 September 2026
New
- The Ailimu logo in the setup wizard, the sign-in screen and the manual, with a favicon for the browser tab.
- A Changelog page in the manual: what changed in each version, and anything an upgrade needs from you.
Changed
- The manual says more plainly what is sent to the AI model (only the rows a tool returns, when it asks) and what stays on your server.
- The "How it fits together" diagram shows FileMaker hosted on your network or with a hosting provider.
Upgrading
- Nothing to do.
0.4.1
28 September 2026
New
- Activity. A searchable record of what Claude read, changed and ran through each connection, and of what people did in the wizard. Search by date, keyword, connection and who; filter by kind; download CSV. For editors and owners. See Activity.
- Record reads, a switch on each connection, off by default. When on, every search and lookup Claude makes there is recorded: what it asked and how many rows matched, never the rows. It warns about disk use before it turns on.
- Native images for Apple silicon and ARM servers.
ailimu/ailimunow carries amd64 and arm64 builds, and Docker picks the right one. - The manual lists each page's sections in its left-hand navigation, has a diagram of how Ailimu fits together, and gains Get Docker for Linux and macOS and the activity log format.
Changed
- The single
audit.logis replaced by the activity log: one file per day, with reads kept apart. Changes, script runs and admin actions are kept 365 days and reads 30, set byACTIVITY_RETAIN_DAYSandACTIVITY_READS_RETAIN_DAYS. - Every entry now says which connection it came through. Script runs record whether they succeeded, and failed changes are recorded too.
- The docs say plainly that Ailimu runs in your network and connects to FileMaker Server wherever it is hosted. Claris FileMaker Cloud is not supported yet.
Upgrading
- Nothing to do. On first start your existing
audit.logis split into the new daily files and kept asaudit.log.migrated.
0.4.0 was tagged but never published; 0.4.1 is the same release with a fix to how the images are built.
0.3.0
28 September 2026
New
- Named accounts for the wizard. People sign in with an email and password instead of sharing one token. Owners manage people, editors set up and publish connections, viewers can look but not change anything.
- People, for owners: invite someone with a role and pass on a one-time link. Reset passwords, change roles, remove people. Ailimu sends no email.
- A recovery command for an owner who is locked out. See If the only owner is locked out.
- The audit log records who published, deleted, invited or removed, and each connection shows who last published it.
Changed
ADMIN_TOKENno longer opens the wizard. It is the setup code for the first owner, and still works as a bearer token for scripting/admin/api.
Upgrading
- The first time you open the wizard it asks you to create the owner account.
The setup code is your existing
ADMIN_TOKEN, printed bydocker compose logs. Connections, MCP endpoints and tokens are unchanged.
0.2.0
26 September 2026
New
- Several FileMaker files on one connector, each with its own address and token, listed down the left of a redesigned wizard.
- Reading through OData as well as the Data API: real tables, types, keys, relationships and field comments.
- Discovery that sorts your file: tables grouped by what they hold, repeated table occurrences collapsed, fields tagged by kind, and sampling to find columns that are never filled.
- Try it: run a tool against live data before publishing.
- Scripts can be exposed as tools, gated by read-only.
- The manual ships with the connector at
/docs. - Published publicly as
ailimu/ailimuon Docker Hub.
Changed
- Tool names use snake_case. Results are kept within what an AI client can accept.
- The wizard stays quick on very large files, including one with 809 scripts.
0.1.0
10 September 2026
- First release: connect one FileMaker file through the Data API, choose layouts, and publish them as tools for Claude over MCP.
