Use Claude Code with FileMaker

Claude Code is Anthropic's command-line tool. With your FileMaker file added as an MCP server, you can ask it questions about live FileMaker data from the terminal: "which orders shipped late this month", "show me customer 4412". Ailimu is the MCP server in the middle. It starts read-only, and you choose which tables and fields Claude Code can see.

What you need

1. Add the server

Run this once, with your own address and key:

claude mcp add --transport http sales http://your-server:8081/mcp/sales \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR-KEY"

sales is just a name for this connection. Use one that tells you which file it is. Open the wizard at your server's name or address rather than localhost if Claude Code runs on a different computer, so the command carries an address that computer can reach.

2. Check it is connected

claude mcp list

Your connection should be listed. Inside a Claude Code session, the /mcp command shows the same list and lets you see the tools the server offers.

3. Ask

Start Claude Code and ask something only your data can answer:

Which trade customers have overdue invoices, and how much do they owe?

Claude Code picks the tools that answer it, calls them against your server, and replies. Everything it does, including every script it runs, appears in Activity in the Ailimu wizard.
